I have loved, and continue to love working with art every day.
Art & Design was my focus at school - though living in a small nz town career options in the industry were limited! So when I first got a job at an Auckland Art streetmarket I could not believe my luck.
I progressed to the Framing side of that business, and have never looked back from working within this industry, in Auckland and then Tauranga in (1994- )
In 2012 I opened a small picture framing workshop out of my home, with a focus on quality framing & materials.
THE FRAMERS BENCH
This was a very sastisfying project to work on: a set of very old architectual tools that are now out of the box on display - all sewn in place with invisible thread.
The background is an actual drawing made by them, and the great great grandfathers business cards.
A great gift idea for the artsy person in your family
TIP - ART HANGING
When hanging artwork the rule of thumb is 57" Centres* (1.45 metres from the floor to the centre of your painting)
